Stretch Film
Stretch film is a plastic film which has the tendency to enlarge, when it is pulled in either directions. This does not even require exposure to heat. The film has an inbuilt tackiness which enables the user to just leave the loose end on the wrap itself without the fear of it getting loosened. This kind of packing is more suitable for odd-shaped or huge objects like machinery, components of turnkey projects besides being used to hold pallets and even individual cartons.
Manual Grade Stretch Film
These films are available in small rolls ( from 0.150 to 6.0 kgs) depending on the size for easy applicability. The application would vary from a bundle of electrical cable to an automobile to a machine. Available wound in two cardboard cores (of 1” dia and 3” dia), the manual grade covers 50mm, 75, 100 and 150mm width on 1” core and 150mm, 200mm,250mm, 300mm right upto 600mm on 3” core.
Machine Grade Stretch Film
This kind of rolls are applied by a machine and hence need more strength and stretchability. The size and weight of the roll is also higher than those applied manually.
